
Raymundo Sesma lives and works between Milan and Mexico City. He studied painting and woodcut at the Casa de la Cultura at Aguascalientes Taller Guadalupe Posada in Mexico and later serigraphy and lithography at the Open Studio in Toronto Canada. He has held numerous personal exhibitions in Mexico and the rest of the world. In 1986 he participated in the XLII Venice Biennale, in 1991 he exhibited at the Palazzo Reale in Milan in 1993, he attended again with a video installation at the XLV Biennale di Venezia, in 1993 he exhibited at the Instituto Italo-Latino Americano and the National Library Central Rome. Among the group exhibitions include: Expoarte Guadalajara, Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporaneo 1994 to 1999, International Art Fair in London and Ljubyjana Biennale in 1985, Art Basel in 1992. His works are in important public collections including: The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, The International Museum of Graphics in Japan, the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma and Paris, The Mexican-North American Institute, Museo José Luis Cuevas and Rufino Tamayo and Miss Collection of Mexico City.[t.a.]
