
Fratelli Campana
[t.a.]Humberto Campana, lawyer and Fernando Campana, architect, working together in San Paolo since 1983 in the field of artistic design. Are in the limelight with the exhibition of furniture in 1989 provocatively entitled "The inconfortabili", intended to be, rather than functional objects, political manifestos. Their radical vision contributes the use of poor materials and industrial waste. The hand is in a poor country the possibility of social redemption. Their intent is to find a way to Brazilian design, avoiding European colonization. In Italy, they participated in the exhibition "Journey to Italy" at Abitare il Tempo in Verona in 1994 and 1995 at the exhibition held at the Brazilian Consulate in Milan "Brazil is also a design." In 1997 they designed lights for O Luce. Each song appears with the International Design Year Book 1997, edited by Philippe Starck. In 1998 the Moma in New York has an exhibition devoted their "Project 66" in conjunction with Ingo Maurer.
