
Carlo Mazzeri
[t.a.]Born in Oleggio (Novara) in 1927, Carlo Mazzer graduated in architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia in 1956 and, after an initial collaboration with Carlo Scarpa in Venice, is involved with the study by the architect Mario Righini in the competition of Colonia Olivetti Brusson and the Chamber of Commerce of Carrara, a city at the top. In 1957 Luigi Massoni designs with the cocktail shaker "870", one of the first Alessi objects designed by external collaborators, still in production and this in bars all over the world. With Anselmo Vitale he designed for Alessi in the'60s and'70s a complete collection of items in mostly hotel destination. It deals with civil and industrial construction, building, inter alia the establishment of Omegna Alessi (1960-1971), the production of small household appliances Girmi (1962) and the Lagostina offices (1964) always in Omegna, restructuring of the dryers and new stock of 3M Ferrania Italy (1970) and Salumificio Romano Mainelli in Oleggio (1972). In the field of industrial design has also collaborated with Girmi, Lagostina, Bialetti, Indesit, Fonderie Filiberti, Triplex. Since 1973 a study of architecture in Novara, dealing with civil architecture, restoration and urban planning.
