[t.a.]Carlo Bartoli was born in 1931 in Milan, where he graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic and opened his own design studio. Beginning in the years'60 collaborations design, for some companies, such as Colombo and Design Segis currently care also the artistic director. Invited to exhibit in exhibitions and events, such as the Triennale di Milano, at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stadt Museum in Cologne. He received numerous awards and recognitions, the armchair "Gaia" (Arflex) since 1967 is part of the permanent collection of MOMA in New York, and in 2002 was included in the permanent collection of Italian design of the Triennial Milan. The Design Museum in Thessaloniki exposes various products designed by Carlo Bartoli. In 2000, Poste Italiane emit six stamps on the theme "Italian design" among the products shown, the chair "Breeze" (Segis), already rewarded with the ID Design Distinction Award, the Apex Product Design Award, Red Dot and IF Award for Good Industrial Design. The chair "4875" (Kartell) is exposed in the permanent design collection of the National Museum of Modern Art at the Pompidou Center, Paris.
