Flower vase "Intanto" - design Mario Trimarchi, 2010
"Intanto" is a small family of floating Vases that comes from reflecting on the indeterminate period of time accompagnyng a flower from the moment it's cut until the time it wilts and fades away.
Evoking this limbo, an unexpected addition to the life of the flower, forever separated from its plant, is the dewdrop-shaped vases in transparent glass that areseeminigly suspended in midair by means of an almost invisible lattice of metal wire.
In the flowers' own words, INTANTO (in the menatime) is just a drop of dew hanging in the midst of unstable spiderwebs.
"Intanto" is an exercise in designing vases that in the and are lighter than flowers that they contain.
