It seems in recent years that Australia, homeland of the famous Mark Newson, is becoming a crucible of young, dynamic and interesting designers. This large centrepiece revisits a theme already addressed in Italian design: that of the sheet steel cut first flat, then bent and welded to achieve its final form, recalling the basket designed by Bruno Munari for Danese in the '50s and the experiments of Silvio Coppola for us in the early '70s, but done with such new grace and freshness as to merit production.
Centrepiece in 18/10 stainless steel mirror polished.
