Giovannoni's porcelain dinner service and his set of "Mami" glasses complete the basic range of items of the Alessi table as conceived by a designer who, with a unique combination of expressive talent, humour and understanding of the market, left a strong mark on the 1990s. These projects bear witness to a significant element of novelty in his art, represented by his desire to combine playful themes, for which he is so well known, with a completely new trend, which we are tempted to define a search for classicism, harmony and originality developed, as only he can, along the lines of the maternal figure.
